A bit about me and my role

Even after 43 years in the insurance industry, I still never know what’s going to cross my desk from one day to the next! The variety of the day-to-day work that comes with being the Head of Commercial Claims is just one of the things I’ve always loved about my role.

On a typical day, I handle large and complex claims, answer technical queries from internal and external stakeholders, visit and speak with clients, attend management and technical forums, and keep up-to-date with insurance case law and regulatory developments. I'm also responsible for reviewing resources, maintaining budgetary control, compiling internal management reports, and providing solutions to insurance problems that our clients may not have faced before.

By enabling the building of close working relationships with clients and having the latitude to provide solutions to complex insurance problems, SW supports me firmly in looking after clients.

When I’m not at the office…

I'm a Hull City fan who attends a number 'southeast' away fixtures each season. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and son, entertaining family & friends at home/pubs and walking the hound in the Sussex countryside!
