The Role

Does your workplace offer you career progression, a challenging and rewarding job combined with a professional, fun and relaxed working environment?

If not, perhaps it’s time to think Sutton Winson.

If you thrive on making a difference to a company, enjoy being challenged and would relish a role that gives you balance and reward in equal measures, you could be our next Employee Benefits (EB) Client Handler.

Playing an integral part in the EB Service & Underwriting Team in Twickenham, you will have a solid knowledge of Personal Lines insurances, specifically Motor and Home and be able to effectively take ownership of our large client base with positivity, passion and professionalism.

Your role will be to provide an amazing client experience through careful and tailored communication as well as managing renewals with accuracy and confidence.  The Team  look after a large number of existing clients, including pensioners and employees of some large corporations, so you will need to prove that you are able to communicate effectively with a broad range of people.

On a day to day basis, you will have responsibility for servicing clients, making underwriting decisions, handling renewals, developing an existing book of business through upselling and cross-selling as well as handling enquiries.

In return you will be offered a generous remuneration package, which will be determined by your skills and ability, with some seriously good benefits such as: fully funded Cert CII studies up to ACII level and an annual performance related bonus.  We even offer a daily dress down policy as, to us, it’s not what you wear but how you feel when you work.  A full list of our benefits is available on request.

What you will bring

Experience-wise, you will have a good technical understanding of Personal Lines products, ideally Home and Motor, however, if your strengths lie in one or the other, you will still be considered.

Most importantly, we are looking for confidence, communication and charisma.  You’ll be comfortable working alongside your Team or under your own steam and won’t be afraid to ask questions.  You will be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a wide range of people from internal colleagues to clients, as well as thinking on your feet to resolve issues and make decisions quickly.  A willing approach to learning, taking on board new concepts quickly and executing them with accuracy and diligence is also essential.

You’ll be educated to a minimum A Level standard, with GCSE passes in English Language and Maths and have a Cert CII under your belt, or at least be enthusiastic about working towards achieving accreditation within 12 months.
