YOUR OPPORTUNITY:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Schemes Team that provides specialist insurance products to Recruitment & Payroll, Sports clubs and property owners.

The schemes have been established over 30 years and has big growth ambitions in this sector and will provide opportunities to develop as an individual in areas that traditional broking may not offer.

We have delegated authority with major insurers which means we don’t act in the traditional role of a broker but we make underwriting decisions about new business, MTAs and renewals. We enjoy very high retention rates of over 95% which demonstrates the quality of our service delivery. Therefore, an ability to deliver a high standard of client service is crucial to our success.

You will provide essential support to the Team from the ground up, get involved with looking after clients, working on sales opportunities AND get to work with a fantastic team who will nourish you with support and peer-to-peer development.

YOU WILL:
  • Retain and develop a book of Commercial Clients focusing predominately in the Recruitment & Payroll and sports sector 
  • Seek and maximise opportunities working with the team to research and develop new opportunities for existing schemes and potential new schemes to move into
  • Work efficiently on achieving targets for retention, new business and cross selling
  • Deal with general enquiries from clients, including new business, mid -term amendments and renewals, with a key emphasis on retention and providing the best Customer Service at all times
  • Manage policy renewals effectively and with accuracy
  • Draft reports professionally, engaging with clients obtaining the required information
  • Provide support to the wider team
WHAT YOU’LL NEED – SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Effective, confident & considerate communication and an ability to adapt your communication style accordingly (you’ll be great on the phone and able to build rapport)
  • Negotiation skills and the confidence to build lasting relationships with people and companies.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a varied environment
  • Flexibility in your approach and a willingness to learn
  • Problem solving skills – you have to enjoy a challenge!
  • Organisation, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Passion, energy and a strong customer service ethos
  • Intuitive thinking and confident decision making and not afraid to ask questions
  • Team Working – comfortable working within a team environment and getting to know your team mates
  • You enjoy pushing your own boundaries and working outside of your comfort zone
  • Resilience – able to deal with multiple priorities and demanding deadlines
  • IT confidence, experience of using the Acturis broker system would be advantageous
  • Educated to a minimum A Level standard, with GCSE/ O Level passes in English Language and Maths.
