COVID-19 Update - Personal Travel Insurance

Updated 12:30 12th March 2020

If you are looking to discuss a claim...

Your first step regarding cancelling your trip, refund or changes to your trip is to contact your travel/tour operator to discuss your options.

You should then speak with your credit card provider (if the trip was booked using your card, and the costs were over £100), as you should be able to claim a refund under section 75 protection of the Consumer Credit Act.

Until you have tried both of these routes, your travel policy will not consider a claim. However, if both the travel operator and credit card company are unwilling to help, please contact your insurer, where contact details can be found in your policy documents.

If you are looking for a new quotation...

Please contact us to discuss your options, though due to the current Travel Insurance climate please expect a delay in response times.

On Wednesday 11th March 2020 the World Health Organisation officially designated the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak as a “pandemic”.

We are working closely with our Insurance partners to establish the impact of this and the real world implications for our many Travel Insurance policyholders.

As and when this information becomes available and we are in a position to share this we will provide an update.
